Thomas Wohl

I have been in the Triangle area of North Carolina for almost half of my lifetime. Originally from Europe, my father was a professional hockey player and later became an executive master chef. Because of this, my youth was filled with a wide array of extra-curricular activities and organizations that centered on school and athletics. I played semi-professional basketball for my home country, Hungary and later was recruited by the famous Jim Valvano (Jimmy V.) at North Carolina State University. Unfortunately, unexpected things happened and I lost my coach to cancer. This also led me to the end of my career as an athlete. I focused on academics and soon graduated from NCSU with a degree in History.

Today I coach a basketball team with the Special Olympics as well as assisting in coaching local middle school students. My current hobbies include traveling and photography. I also get a great deal of satisfaction from participating and volunteering with various youth programs and organizations.

I find myself truly fortunate to be one of the few people to love what they do for a living. I spend a lot of my time working in my field because it is not only my career, it also my passion. I get no greater satisfaction then when I can help people fulfill their dream of home ownership.
