When looking for a real estate agent the major things my wife and I wanted were someone who’s honest, kind, down to earth, and incredibly knowledgeable. Having known Tim for the last 4 years it was an easy choice. He checks all of the boxes. He made the home purchasing process simple and easy and is a great communicator. Throughout our home hunting process, Tim demonstrated one of the most important qualities that I have valued that being that he is a very good listener. I felt that this was key to our success in finding a home within 30 days . He made sure that all of our requests were addressed.
This process was even more challenging since we lived in another state and completely relied on his good judgement. In the end, Tim found our new home for us by showing us the home over FaceTime and quickly getting all of our questions and concerns addressed.
When we were visiting the Roanoke area, Tim not only showed us properties but also took his time to show us around Roanoke and pointed out places of interest, restaurants, and shopping.
Throughout our interactions, Tim was always professional , experienced and very personable Without reservation I recommend Tim Thompson as your Realtor. You will not be disappointed.

Tim was very effective at homing in on properties that would meet our requirements, and in facilitating the purchase offer through closing process. He has assembled a team that coordinates the loan approval, home inspection, and closing aspects efficiently, making it easy for us as the buyers. I must add that we needed to complete much of this process remotely, and he and his team were able to facilitate the process via distance means. Should we need a realtor in Roanoke, Tim will be our guy.

My wife and I would like to thank Mr. Tim Thompson, Realtor for his professional, caring and knowledgeable manner in which he assisted my wife in the sale of her mother's home following her mother's passing. We live 100 miles away and the task of preparing the home for sale would have been far more difficult to do without (our now friend) Tim Thompson.

There are a tremendous number of items that must be done in the preparation of the home for sale including knowing who to contact for each service for the home (such as its cleaning) as well as the legal requirements in our state for the process to move forward. Tim was there for us every step of the way. He definitely is now on our Christmas Card list! Thanks, Tim, for all that you did for us.

My experience with Tim Thompson was absolutely the best in every possible way. In the past it was always my husband and I working together to negotiate the challenges of buying and selling our homes. This time I was a retired, single woman facing this huge task on my own. Tim did everything he could to make this experience as easy as possible, going well beyond what you would normally expect your realtor to do. He was able to help me find craftsmen to take care of all the things I needed to have done. in the house. I cannot recommend him strongly enough, and would hesitate to engage him again if I were to buy or sell again in the Roanoke Valley.

Tim is a very knowledgeable realtor. He was able to answer all the questions we had and went out of his way to be there for us. He was always on time for meetings and quick to respond when anything was needed. Things got a little off coarse when waiting on the seller to act on some agreed upon terms and the “shark” (Tim) came out and got things moving. We will gladly recommend and use Tim again.

Tim went out of his way to help me find a new home in Roanoke when I was relocating from out of state. He not only helped me find the perfect home, but he handled meeting with contractors and ensured that the work that was needed was completed. He even went to Home Depot to pick up a ceiling fan that I had purchased.

We had a rather unusual property to have to place on the market. We interviewed two realtors. The first realtor came unprepared and with two year old comps. His price assessment was about $25,000 less than we were figuring as an asking price. There was no followup from him. We then contacted Tim Thompson. What a difference in professionalism. Tim took his time, came prepared. It was obvious Tim has his finger on the pulse of this market. He knew exactly how to market our property, the exact price point. In fact, we put the house on the market on Tuesday and sold it on Thursday for asking. Actually we had two asking price offers and requests for two back up offers. The buyers must have been as impressed with Tim as they used him as their agent. Tim's keen ability to work with the buyer and the seller made for a smooth transaction. We will be anxious to share our positive experience with MKB and Tim Thompson.
