TODD SMITH

Todd Smith is the CEO of Blue Horizon Venture Consulting, an early stage consultancy. He has more than 20 years of experience working with high-growth firms, and his work has helped entrepreneurs start or grow hundreds of business in 33 U.S states and 16 countries around the world. These firms have raised well over US$300 million in capital and have employed thousands of people.

In addition to his entrepreneurial consulting work, Todd is the author of "The Adventure Consultant" an Amazon best-seller. He has been a featured speaker in technology transfer and crowdfunding conferences in the U.S. and Europe. He hosted a weekly radio show entitled "Business Success Radio" on WOKV, northeast Florida's largest talk radio station. He has been featured in the New York Times and a variety of online sites.

Todd is a licensed Florida real estate broker and owner of Blue Horizon Real Estate and he also founded Blue Horizon Property Solutions, a real estate investment company. These companies have closed tens of millions of dollars of transactions in three states, both commercial and residential, including historical property. He specializes in investment real estate.

Todd graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor's degree in Financial Management with a concentration in Real Estate. He later obtained an MBA with a focus in Entrepreneurship from the Anderson School at UCLA, followed by a Masters in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, with a focus on Latin America. More recently, Todd was honored as a Thomas Johnson scholar while earning a Masters in Entrepreneurship from the University of Florida.

With his personal time, Todd enjoys leading and riding long-distance cycling tours around the world, reading biographies and historical fiction, writing, flying, playing the drums, travel, and mountain climbing. He has completed three marathons.
