Tomeka was wonderful to work with! I had a somewhat unique circumstance and Tomeka went out of her way to go above & beyond. She checked in consistently and was always able to answer any questions I had. There were a couple times I didn't have my car to get home, and she made sure I was able to do so safely. At the last minute I had to change my closing date, she video'd in for the signing, just to ensure she was there in some capacity! She made sure to be with me every part of the way; the personal touch & care she provided was unmatched. You'll make the right choice when going with Tomeka Givens as your realtor!

I originally met Tomeka when I was looking to to buy my first house. She made the experience feel less scary as a brand new homebuyer and most importantly made it FUN. I enjoyed my experience with Tomeka so much that she was the only realtor I considered when I was ready to sell my home and move to another city due to a job relocation. Cannot recommend her enough and look forward to working with her again in the future.

Tomeka is the absolute best real estate agent out there...HANDS DOWN! She is very knowledgeable and a true advocate for her clients! My family and I couldn't be happier with the home we ended up building. Tomeka has a team of trusted vendors from a loan officer, to the title company, and the inspector. We definitely got the Varsity team for what was one of the biggest decisions of a lifetime.

Tomeka make herself available to answer every single question and did a lot of behind the scenes communications with the builder to make sure the development stayed on schedule and our concerns were addressed. Tomeka was an excellent advocate when I was selling my house in Baltimore. Through no fault of hers, the buyer's lender had to change the loan type and ended up taking more time than expected, and Tomeka not only kept a sharp focus throughout the entire process, making things much easier for me in my new home several states away, but also did extra work, taking on tasks that weren't really part of her job. She was able to move the process along when everyone else seemed at a stalemate. On top of it all, Tomeka obtained the buyer's consent to stop by the house after the sale and retrieve the Internet router, so that she could return it to the cable company. Otherwise, I would have been paying a possibly hefty fee. First, I have to apologize to Ms. Givens for my tardiness in giving her a review. I received the keys to my new home on May 4th. Yikes!!! Ms. Givens responded to an inquiry I made on a home that looked really good online. When she walked me through the home I quickly realized that it would not be a good fit for my family. Instead of Ms. Givens trying to sell me on that home, she asked questions about what I wanted. Her interest was more on meeting my needs. She listened, asked more questions, and educated me about other options I knew nothing about. Her professionalism and friendliness eased my concerns about the process. Ms. Givens was confident in her knowledge of how to avoid common mistakes. She wasn’t pushy or irritated with my mounting questions. Sometimes she answered the same question twice. She understood that I was new to this. Within one week Ms. Givens emailed me a picture of the home where I currently live. The pictures didn’t do this place any justice, but I was impressed with the fact that Ms. Givens found a home that did not have a lot of front steps, which was an absolute on my wish list. We arranged for a walk through. It was a good fit for my family. The price was manageable. It met my needs! Wow that was fast! Ms. Givens gave me specific instructions to move forward with the next steps. She was prompt in advocating on my behalf. She was quick to point out discrepancies in the paperwork. We met at Panera Bread and went over all, and I do mean ALL paperwork line-by-line. She wanted me to be clear on everything I read, no matter how many different ways she had to explain it. Even after everything was final Ms. Givens continued to follow up with me, asking about my transition and adjustment to my new home. And on a personal note of her character, she still continues to follow-up; it’s been a little over a month since I’ve moved. This act of kindness speaks volumes to me. She’s passionate about helping others. If you are need someone in your corner who will not rush you into this life changing decision, and will work with you regardless of where you are in the process, I highly recommend Tomeka Givens. Tomeka is DA BOMB!!! She really made the home buying experience for my partner and I pleasurable. She took what we wanted, needed and desired in a home and really took her time to find our forever home.
