As a native Oregonian who left and then chose to return, Travis recognizes and values the importance in helping clients ?nd the right neighborhood ?t and a place to call home. He grew up in the Portland suburb of Beaverton, then studied math & social sciences at the University of Oregon and Portland State University before moving to Arizona. He spent nearly a decade in restaurant management there before moving back to Portland to settle down and begin a career as a personal and business banker. The 10+ years' experience as a banker taught Travis how to listen, as well as become very skilled working with (and explaining!) numbers; he greatly enjoyed helping people meet their ?nancial goals. This made real estate an easy transition, with the added bonus of autonomy. He can now customize his approach and assist his clients in whatever way works best.
More than a decade of volunteer work at the Oregon Humane Society and Habitat for Humanity have strengthened his ties to the community while learning new skills and meeting people that share similar values. A confessed "dog person" who walks Great Dane mix Jelly and Pug/Chihuahua mix, Mr. Pickles daily in his Forest Heights neighborhood, Travis is a family guy ?rst. Countless hours have been spent at soccer ?elds and skate parks, encouraging his two boys; he also cherishes quiet time in the garden nurturing seedlings to saplings, and a variety of hydrangeas, lilac, daphne & azalea to coax hummingbird and butter?y visits. Sometimes he runs; marathons conquered include Phoenix, San Diego, and Portland. And when the stars align and the weather cooperates, he likes to awaken his 1947 Harley and roam the rolling hills of Oregon's backcountry roads.
