About Tray

Tray is a lifelong Kansas native, born and raised in Manhattan, KS. After graduating from Manhattan High School, Tray moved to Vail, Colorado to enjoy the mountain lifestyle and join snowboard patrol. Upon returning to his hometown, Tray attended Kansas State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. After graduation, Tray worked as an officer in the financial and banking industry for a regional Kansas bank. His roles included marketing manager, mortgage, and consumer lending.

Trays knowledge of the financial industry helps him understand the importance and significance of buying real estate in today's market. When investing in your family's first home, forever home or looking for real estate investments, Tray’s number one responsibility is to guide and educate his clients through the process. He takes this very seriously and enjoys the time spent helping his client’s goals become a reality and the friendships that develop.

Tray has been married for over 20 years to his wife, Jillyn. They share two amazing boys, Tripp and Bodey. Their passions and hobbies include back country camping and enjoying nature. Tray loves riding and coaching his boys in downhill mountain biking and racing dirt bikes on and off the track. You will find the Schmidt family on the slopes in the winter and on Kansas lakes in the summer.

Tray is an active member of the Flint Hills Area Realtors as well as a board member and Treasurer for the Friends of Fancy Creek Range.
