Tyson Bolster is an exceptional realtor. We found him through the Portland Housing Center, and after our first conversation, we knew immediately he was the one we wanted to work with. He impressed us with the amount of information he provided and his clear outline of the expert process.

Tyson made the entire home-buying journey feel fun and enjoyable. As first-time buyers, his insights into each house were so valuable, consistently pointing out things we never would have noticed on our own. He was also incredibly responsive, almost immediately answering any question we had.

Once we started making offers, his guidance and support made us feel completely confident in our negotiations. We couldn't be happier with our experience and will absolutely be returning to him when we're back in the market. He is a truly great realtor, and we can't recommend him highly enough.

As first time homebuyers, we really had no idea what to expect; we just knew we wanted someone to be honest and extremely knowledgeable about the market because we didn’t want to go into the whole process blindfolded. Tyson was just the guy! Throughout the whole process we felt heard, respected and most of all confident that Tyson had our best interest in mind meanwhile navigating all the shifts in the market during our home buying experience. Every single question (small or big, goofy or serious) Tyson was able to answer for us and continued to make us feel confident and knowledgeable in our decision making. As far as the touring process went, Tyson was extremely accommodating to our situation; Navigating from Sherwood to Cornelius with a toddler and 5months pregnant was a struggle, but we were always met with a fun joke or anecdote from Tyson, whom was also making a far drive for us as well. The whole experience, although stressful at times given the market shifting, was made super easy thanks to Tyson. We were able to close in about 4-5 months of house hunting and now we’re homeowners! It truly wouldn’t have been possible without Tyson’s help and all his knowledge and advice along the way. A huge thanks to him, and Kelly, whom was ready to meet us on our longer drives and fill in for Tyson whenever necessary. Overall, it was lovely working with both of them, we can truly say the experience is unmatched, and we’ll definitely be returning when we choose to expand! 5 stars is not enough to express our gratitude for Tyson’s hard work!

Start off by saying we were first time home buyers. Scared and nervus.

Tyson was a great find for us. We had some challenges to overcome with the market going skyrocket. We set a time to see a house but the night before we were to see it the house went Pending, he called late that night to inform us of the change. We watched the house for 10 days and on a Saturday night the house came back to Active, we called Tyson that night late and he changed around his schedule so we could see the house on Sunday morning. From that point on Tyson made the experience easy. He always answered our questions, and he was always in communication with us. We never felt like we were alone during this process. I would give him more stars if I could, and I would defiantly recommend him to anyone wanting a great experience buying a home.

This review is long overdue. When my partner and I started looking for a home, we were fortunate to have received a good list of vetted realtors from a local organization and it didn’t disappoint. We chose Tyson because of his honesty, bluntness, and willingness to be flexible. When we would visit a home, he would ask if we wanted his honest opinion and I felt it really allowed us to make better, informed opinions. It’s not that he tried to convince us of not buying a home, but being realistic in what a certain home would mean in terms of eventual costs. Also, as a family with a toddler (and a new addition on the way at the time), he provided additional advice on possible challenges or dangers in a home with a toddler running around. In the end, he looked out for us to make sure we made an investment we would be happy with. Even after we bought our home, he helped to come fix an issue that none of us or the inspector new about. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience and ultimately got the first home we wanted. He also went to bat for us to get a few things fixed and having someone willing to negotiate on your behalf is something that I know others didn’t receive from their realtors. A year later, we are still so happy with our purchase and love our home. We can’t recommend Tyson enough, especially if you are a first time home buyer. He’s quick to respond to questions and happy to answer questions about homes you visit. His background and experience make him an ideal realtor.

Tyson first helped us buy our first house in 2015. The market was crazy and he was there every step up of the way, in constant communication, moral support, kept us on track of our goals and was always realistic, yet positive about every decision we needed to make. Very quickly we successfully found the perfect first home, within our budget and with a very smooth purchasing transaction, thanks to Tyson.
We planned on selling that house spring 2020, but Covid-19 put a little strain on our plan. After consulting with Tyson and helping us put a realistic plan in place, we decided to move forward with listing in April. -extremely knowledgeable and experienced. He will help you get the right amount of money for your house if selling, and help find the just right house for you if you’re buying.
-willing to work at your pace. No pressure if you’re just feeling out the market, and he hustles when you’re in a hurry.
-straightforward. He’ll explain things to you plainly and honestly.
-trustworthy. He will look out for your best interest and help make buying/selling as un-stressful as possible. We are a family of 5 with three small children and he helped us sell/buy/move with as little inconvenience as possible.
-helpful and communicative. You will be able to get ahold of him when you have a question. He responds back promptly and thoroughly.

Tyson is a great guy. He stuck with me while I wavered between looking at houses and then becoming too afraid to commit. He understands our anxiety as homebuyers and gives us the honest information and space to choose what is best for us. His approach to showing a house is great, as you first look at the less sexy parts of the house to get an idea of the quality of the house materials and the condition of its upkeep. This gives you a much better perspective of the house before you walk inside and get too excited. He talked me out of some early viewings that in retrospect would have been a disaster. My only regret of buying a house is no longer being able to joke with Tyson during a home viewing.

I meant to write this nearly 4 ago when I moved into my very first home. Tyson was wonderful! He was gracious with me when I would send him houses all day long that I found on Redfin or Zillow.
