Valarie helped my family with a very difficult sale recently - the sale of our childhood home. Valarie was a champ throughout the process - helping us to assess the house (with all of its many flaws), and to rightly understand all of our options. She navigated the many twists and turns that happened along the way, including, sadly, when our mother passed away during the process. Valarie was not only professional and took so much worry off of our shoulders, she was also very sympathetic and helped us get through the emotionally difficult process. There are so many realtors out there, and I know there are many good realtors. Excellent ones are easy to find too- but Valarie and her team- these are the kind of people you keep for a lifetime. She’s not just excellent, she is the equivalent of walks on water type of realtor and if you are needing someone who would go above and beyond without hesitation- you have found your person. Now that my real-estate business has been completed to my full. satisfaction, I would like to commend Valarie Arrington, realtor with Century 21 in Michigan. I live in Michigan and the property I sold is in Florida. I was at a loss as to how to sell the property. Having been unable to locate a realtor duo licensed in both Michigan and Florida, my daughter suggested a colleague of hers, Valarie, might be able to help me. I called Valarie and explained my dilemma. We instantly connected. Though not licensed in Florida, she located a realtor in Florida she felt would be a "good fit". Valarie was spot on with her choice. Valarie did not stop at that point. She remained connected with new realtor and me almost daily, making sure I was taken care of and understood the whole process. Not knowing Florida laws we chuckled over the turtle law (vacant land needs to be free of turtles). Valarie is an amazing person. Very professional, patient, and very pleasant to talk to. She allayed all my fears and nervousness. The three of us, tirelessly, worked together all the way through closing and monies wired and successfully deposited here in Michigan. Valarie was there for me, any time of any day. I most definitely would recommend her to anyone needing a realtor in Michigan and in any state for that matter. Her office is a two hour drive from my home but l look forward to making that drive to be able to put a face to the voice, as all our dealings were via the telephone.

I am so grateful for Valarie. She took such EXCEPTIONAL care of my mom as she was selling her land property out of state and going through this process for the first time. It was an emotional experience for my mom who is in her later life. She struggled for awhile whether to sell the property and knew it was time but needed just the right person to guide her through this process. She had a million questions and has pretty significant hearing loss. My mom shared with me that never once did Valarie make her feel bad for not knowing something or hearing something, or for being emotional, or asking what might have been the same question over and over. Valarie was so patient and kind with my mom, really going above and beyond. She made a referral for an out of state agent and checked in with and supported my mom every step of the way. That meant the world to us. She did more than we could have hoped for in this experience. I can't say enough how grateful my sister and I are for her. But I can say with 100% certainty, you can trust Valarie to help your loved ones too if they are ever looking to buy or sell as well. Thank you, most sincerely, Valarie. You are the best!

Being a first time home buyer seemed scary and overwhelming, but Val walked us through every step, answered every question, and never steered us wrong. She never pushed us on a property we weren't sure of. She never questioned us when we decided to walk away. When we finally found the one, she went to bat for us on every negotiating point.

We've been in our house for 8 months now and are loving it! There will always be things that need to be addressed or fixed, but thanks to Val and her team, there are no surprises and nothing we're not prepared for.

We've had zero hesitation directing multiple friends to Val when they wanted to buy and have had nothing but great feedback about their homebuying experiences with her.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I Seriously can't recommend Val and her team enough!

When we went to Valarie, we were skeptical. We had tried buying a house a few times in the past, and every time a broker turned us down. Working with Valarie taught me that buying a house does not have to be stressful. There was never a time that I felt like she wasn’t working for us. She made sure we felt heard & taken care of. In this market you have to be quick and see those listings and Val was always ready to go see one for us and video chat. Val is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful in all home buying aspects. This year, my husband and I decided to buy our first home. I was nervous about the process and did not know what to do. We would drive by homes and call real estate agents that were advertised, unknowingly that it was a seller's versus buyer's real estate. Valarie was one of those who answered my phone call, and although the house was unable to view, she offered her services and explained thoroughly how the process of buying a home works. I loved how she said on the phone that her office was for family and friend references only because I truly felt that. She was kind, thoughtful, and extremely willing to help ease my nerves about the whole process.

When we started looking for homes, Valarie was always willing to accommodate my husband's work schedule and my school schedule. On top of my already busy life, I'm pregnant. She was completely understanding of the situation and went the extra mile with every home we viewed. She came prepared with sheets of paper that detailed the property (i.e. price, bedrooms, square footage etc.) and even contacted the seller for disclosures. I know this is extra effort because we saw a real estate agent before her that was for the seller and they did not give us disclosures about the property (i.e. if there is damage anywhere, recent repairs) nor did they explain what goes into buying a house.

Valarie was patient with my husband and I. I was very nervous about buying a house because it is a big investment and we had a VA loan. I cancelled on many property viewings but she understood and provided information of why that may not be the best choice. We started driving by homes at this time to see the area before viewing.

I got the impression from our last real estate agent that a VA loan is not the way to go because of the lengthy process. That real estate agent tried to prompt us to get a conventional loan and I was honestly offended. They tried to make it seem like it was faster, and that sellers would not choose a VA loan over a conventional loan because of that. In my mind, I am caring for my family by getting a VA loan because of the low interest rate and reliability. That real estate agent was clearly only wanting a sale and was not looking out for my husband and I's best interest. Valarie did not once criticize our VA loan but rather encouraged us to not listen to others who say such things. She reached out to the bank several times for us and was a third person communicator. She explained every step of the way and it made the loan process a lot less stressful. The first house we put an offer on, after about a month of looking, they accepted under asking and we closed right on time. I am glad I listened to my gut to trust Valarie and trust the process because we found our dream home.

Before we found our house, Valarie said to look for that "WOW" feeling, where you just know this is the right home. She described it as an intuition. I looked for that feeling at each home we viewed and came up feeling like I could possibly get that feeling if I changed a few things in the house but it was never a gut feeling. When we stepped into our home, I found it. My heart raced, I was overfilled with joy, and I saw everything that was "me" inside every nook and cranny. Valarie said I was squealing and I think she was right. I got that feeling! I was patient like she said, and I took my time until the right home came along.

It was not just that Valarie was extremely organized or knowledgeable that made her an amazing real estate agent. It was the fact that she truly cared for the people she was helping. She contacted us throughout the day to remind us about certain things, she congratulated us, she felt happy for us when we felt happy, and she empathized when we were down. I can see she loves her job because she loves people. She even gave us a personalized gift when we closed and told us that every gift is different for each person she helps because it's a "feeling" she gets. She was right about us. We love our gift and cannot wait to hang it on the wall of our new house.

I can’t even begin to describe the professionalism and warmth Valarie brought to our selling experience. From day one, she walked with us every stop of the way and her communication is beyond what you could ever hope for. Any time I called or text, she replied back to me very quickly!
