Hennigar Home Team was amazing to work with! They listened to our list of must haves and made every effort to find us our perfect home. We were looking out in the country away from the hustle and bustle. That’s a challenge in itself. A challenge they happily accepted. We looked at quite a few houses in the middle of no where. Some produced a lot of laughs, others groans of frustration, and then there was the one! They put in all the time and effort from start to finish to get us the perfect home to put our roots! We can’t thank them enough. We look forward to spending our lives in our forever home thanks to Hennigar Home Team!

Virginia is more experienced than any other realtor you’ll find, and knows the nuances of what will attract buyers and what will entice sellers, which is especially important in the crazy markets we’ve seen the past few years. Alex knows just about everything you need to know about houses and will always look for the tiny details that most people miss to ensure you are making a sound decision in your home search. Their expertise is invaluable, but more than that they are wonderful people, and treat you like family. There isn’t high enough praise for them!

The Hennigar Home Team brings a distinct advantage to the sale or purchase of your home. Virginia is a dedicated professional who brings years of experience and knowledge to the table. In the sale of our own home, she was able to tell us, very accurately, what we could expect. Because we had the good sense to take her advice, we did not over-list our home, and thus avoided the costly error of languishing on the market and wasting many potential buyers. Virginia teams with her husband Alex, a seasoned professional with a skilled eye for home remodeling. In many cases, sellers will need to update their home before going on the market. Alex knows precisely which projects will bring a higher reward on a closing price and which should be avoided. Moreover, he has an excellent network of contractors and subs who can fix or repair whatever needs to be addressed. Because these journeymen know Alex well, your project receives a higher priority when time is of the essence. I found all of Alex’s referrals to be expert at what they do, completing promised work affordably, on time, and on budget. This also pays dividends as you look to PURCHASE a home! Their inspectors are solid and can look at any area of concern. They can tell you if a perceived problem is repairable, what it may cost, and whether you should renegotiate your price or insist that it be repaired before closing. I have bought and sold many homes in my life, but I have never had such a positive experience with selling and buying a home as my wife and I have had with the Hennigars. What separates them from others is their over the top commitment to us as people and not just sellers or buyers. They listened to us, gave us advice where we needed it, and also went way beyond the call of duty to make this process a success. For example, they arranged on our behalf to have contractors address some cosmetic items with our home before selling. They brought in a photographer that made our home an online showcase. They helped arrange movers, temporary housing, and the storage we used during our transition. They solved problems… they never saw an obstacle that they could not overcome. Our results were great. While I am stingy with praise, I would recommend Virginia and Alex to anyone.

Virginia and Alex Hennigar went over and above what was expected of them during the sale and purchase of my home! My husband and I felt like we were their only clients at the time, which I know was not the case. I would say that the overall process can be very trying and stressful, but they did everything in their power to put us at ease and make this process run more smoothly. The personal attention that both Virginia and Alex gave us as we sold our home was exactly what I needed to get through the emotional process of selling my home of 17 years. Their ties to the community was also very important to us, because we felt like they had a vested interest in not only selling our home but helping us to make the right choice in a buyer. Virginia and Alex Hennigar are lovely, genuine people and we are fortunate to call them friends! I would definitely recommend them to anyone and plan on using their services in the future.

Going into the sales process, I knew our home needed some updates and repairs. I also knew I didn't have the time to act as a "general contractor" hiring, scheduling and overseeing the work at the house. When I met with Virginia, she and Alex walked the house with me. We discussed all of the items that needed to be completed. Within a week, Virginia has everything lined up with the contractor and work was underway. To this day, I have still never met or talked directly with the contractor. Virginia handled everything! The work was completed on schedule and on budget. Dealing with buyers, especially during a pandemic, was a bit of a roller coaster. Virginia offered good guidance to us along the way. We couldn't have navigated this process without Virginia (and Alex!).

I would highly recommend Alex and Virginia Hennigar and their team. We worked with them for several years to find the right house on the lake and they were very patient and kept finding and showing houses that met our goals. They helped us figure out how to purchase the new home without selling our current house. They helped us find a general contractor as well to renovate it.

They also sold our house, helped us get it ready and earn top dollar. They also helped us negotiate time to stay in the house as well as find us a rental when our renovation was delayed.

They are a full service team that really looks out for their clients.
