So I have to share as my experience was everything I could ask for from a realty company and a seasoned realtor such as Weddy Carter. My 87 year old father began his search about a year and a half ago and Weddy was so patient and understanding with his journey to find a home and never pressured him thru the process. She helped him with a great home inspector and was there with him to guide him thru the financing process to make sure he was taking the best route for him. Always reachable for any questions and always providing honest and informative information. She helped him with the other realtor as well along with the closing. What was most important was she was there as a pro of 20 plus years but felt like a friend thru the process. Ms. Weddy is top notch. I did not actually meet her until the day before I closed but she was proactively involved from the moment I asked for a virtual walk thru of my new house. She challenged my lender on his rate quote, the contractors on the work done, even the seller's agent. She was great as a buyer's agent, making sure work was done and to standard. I am positive as a seller's agent, she will make sure your property is ready to be on the market and that you get every penny it is worth. I joked about her "beast mode" but if she has to, she will go into that mode to get everything done for her client. Ms. Weddy is the best.

Both myself and my husband are AD military and I was in a different state and my husband was out of the country when we found and made a bid on our home. I met Weddy Carter (Action Realty) as the property manager for a rental house that I leased from 2020 - 2023, she was my "go to realtor" when I was ready to become a first time home buyer. I saw the listing, we viewed the property and within a few days, a ratified contract was in place. After the home inspection, an extensive PIRCA was entered into the contract. Everything we asked for was granted. Weddy made the experience/home buying process comfortable and never intimidating, I felt informed, as Weddy was quick to share information as soon as it was available. I am a homeowner, but I built the home. Buying a listed home was a new experience for me. I knew other realtors, but my daughter had an established relationship with Weddy Carter as a property manager for a rental property. I entered into the process with caution but am a happy homeowner after working with Weddy. Action Realty is top notch when it comes to anything real estate. Weddy has been managing my Newport News property for seven years, and being military and on the go, I never felt worried. She took care of any issue beginning to end. When tough decisions needed to be made, she always gave her honest advice and never shied away from the not so pretty.

Choosing Weddy Carter as our agent to sell our house was the best decision we made—we received a full price offer the first day the property was listed! When we made the decision to sell we knew we needed someone we could trust completely and who would get the job done right the first time and Weddy didn’t prove us wrong. We had been renting the house for the last 9 years and no longer lived in the Hampton Roads area. We knew the house would need repairs but when we found out the extent of repairs needed we realized that we needed help managing the completion of the repairs, a major project in itself.

Weddy did not hesitate to take on the task, even though doing so falls outside of the scope of what a realtor normally does. She understood we were in a bind and graciously accepted our plea for help and handled the job with precision from start to finish. She thoroughly identified, assessed and recorded all repairs needed and recommending a general contractor to complete the job. She kept us informed on any scheduling or work changes and served as an interface between us and the general contractor. The end result was an absolutely beautiful transformation of our home and a full price offer the first day the property was listed! Weddy from Action Realty was our landlord for 3 years and did a fantastic job! She constantly went above and beyond what is normally expected of a landlord to make sure that we had the best possible experience living in the property that she managed. To say that she is responsive is a massive understatement. She would normally respond to a text or call within an hour, if not immediately, and ALWAYS that same day, regardless of whether it was a weekend or weekday. She honestly cared about us as her tenants and it really showed in her work. As an added plus, the handymen she works with for minor repairs are very professional and polite, always on time, and did a great job, even if they were called out for something that needed immediate attention. If we owned property in Hampton Roads I would absolutely use Weddy as my property manager. If we ever go back as a tenant, I would be very happy to have her as our landlord again.
