About Wilford
Born in Jamaica, West Indies, Wil Nelson has been creative minded from childhood. As one of three boys, he was known as the artist in the family. Besides being the creative one, he was the oldest and that came with responsibility. Talented throughout high school, he was accepted to The Cooper Union for the advancement of Science and Art, on full scholarship.
After graduating from The Cooper Union, Wil worked at KCSA, a marketing and PR firm, for two years before opening his own design studio. A small boutique firm, he managed four full-time employees and served as the Art Director/Head of Creative. He handled the day-to-day operations and served clients such as Warner Bros., MCA Records, The National Urban League, John Wiley and Son, and many more. Along with the ability to manage a team, his leadership qualities and passion for helping people are relentless. He can evaluate and weigh the pros and cons of any situation, not to mention the mindset to make the best in everything, universally needed in real estate. He has the vision and the ability to convey how a property can be transformed into someone's dream, whether residential or commercial.
After ten years, closing his office in 2007, he was offered a design manager's position at Black Enterprise, a magazine/media firm where he is serving for another 5 years before the itch for real estate finally prevailed.
