William is from Ashland, OR, where he grew up on a 22-acre farmhouse boarding horses and playing tennis. He grew up seriously training in tennis and eventually went to Portland State University on scholarship to play for the most amazing school in the best city. After college he got hired into an elite tennis instructors’ program where they taught tennis at resorts all over the world. He personally taught at Caneel Bay on St John in the US Virgin Islands and The Silverado in Napa CA. After a year of travel and tennis he wanted to branch out, so he moved to OC CA where he found himself working production in apparel manufacturing. He worked there for two years and worked his way up to production manager and head of dye development. He oversaw keeping all styles on time for the month, solving production problems, as well as developing his own tie dye for many companies such as Urban Outfitters, Pacsun, 47 Brand and a few more. He eventually met his lovely girlfriend and hated being away from her 4 days of the week every week, so he resigned and found himself without a job at the start of a pandemic. They took this as a fantastic opportunity to move to back to the best place he ever lived, Portland. Along the way he started getting really into finance/investing which led him into his family’s profession of real estate, completing a giant Cochrane family circle.
