Yemurai Pollard (also goes by Yemzee, Yemmy, Yemu) was born in Ottawa, Canada, raised in Kuwait, and then sent to Zimbabwe for boarding school in a small town called Masvingo. Her parents are Diplomats to the Zimbabwean Embassy. As the daughter of diplomats, it gave her a worldwide view of different cultures, ethnicities, and customs and how they affect aesthetic preferences across societies. It also entailed exposure to multiple styles of housing and cultural expression. Her overseas travels have also enabled her to become fluent in English and Shona, converse comfortably in French, and read and write in Arabic.
Yemurai came to the US in 2016 living in Limerick and Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She earned a degree in Biology (B.A.) from Rosemont College in Pennsylvania and moved to Maryland after meeting her boyfriend (now husband). Maryland has grown on her; she loves the beach, the food scene, and the societal diversity that caters to all ethnicities and backgrounds.
Before real estate, Yemurai worked as a Microbiologist in the Biopharmaceutical and Biotechnology industry, specializing in cell banking and quality control.
In addition to being a licensed Real Estate Agent in Maryland, Yemurai has qualified for her Pennsylvania Real Estate License. Having lived in Southeast Pennsylvania for six years, she has an expansive knowledge of neighborhoods, towns, and counties in Philadelphia County, Bucks County, Delaware County, Montgomery County, Lancaster County, York County, and Dauphin County.
Her passion for helping people face to face, hospitality, problem-solving, and bringing together home aesthetics and functionality are highly compatible with real estate. She is a fitness enthusiast and loves the outdoors. Her dream is to run a charity organization for young mothers and babies needing support.
