Born and raised in Charlotte, Zach graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2005 with a degree in Economics and Management. He began his real estate career as an Intern under Tony Pressley with MECA Properties in 2005, assisting in Commercial and HOA Management on a variety of MECA developed properties in the South End neighborhood of Charlotte. After a brief stint with another real estate firm, Zach returned to MECA in 2008, joining the Residential Sales and Property Management division. In 2011, Zach transferred to MECA Commercial as their REO Services Manager. During his time in this role, Zach coordinated the disposition of more than 1,000 properties for numerous financial lending institutions throughout the Southeast. As a REO Services Manager, Zach assisted MECA’s REO Group in the sale of more than $100 million in assets.
In 2012 Zach transitioned to MECA Commercial’s Brokerage Team and has since ascended to Senior Advisor as a result of his extensive experience working on all product types (Office, Retail, Industrial, Land), including Landlord/Tenant and Buyer/Seller representation. Zach holds both NC and SC Real Estate Licenses and the distinguished Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation. He is a member of the Charlotte Region Commercial Board of Realtors (CRCBR), Canopy Realtor Association (CRA), and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Zach’s strong knowledge of the Charlotte region, creative problem-solving, and active involvement in the community make him a valuable asset to MECA and his clients.
Outside of work, Zach enjoys golf, fishing, basketball, football and supporting the UNC Tar Heels. He lives in Charlotte with his wife Stacy and their two children, Nathan and Samantha.
