Highgrove is an Inland Empire community 4 miles from Riverside, California, and about 60 miles from Los Angeles. Founded in 1886 as a citrus-farming hub, it transitioned away from agriculture, and planned residential developments have since spread across the former groves and industrial foothills. Box Springs Mountain Reserve, just southeast of Highgrove, covers over 3,400 acres and has 15 miles of trails with views from its 3,000-foot peak. Canyon Crest Towne Centre and Riverside Plaza, both within 6 miles, handle shopping and dining, and Zorba's Burgers is a local go-to for comfort food. Downtown Riverside draws crowds to weekend farmers markets and the Festival of Lights at the historic Mission Inn each holiday season.
