On the east side of the Saginaw River, about 3 miles from downtown, Fairground displays a large lot that drew hundreds of thousands of people to the Saginaw County Fair for 88 years. Remnants remained after the last fair in 2005, and everything was eventually demolished in 2024. While there are no final plans, the city hopes to eventually turn the space into a park.
