The city of Saint Augustine has a lot to offer, and its downtown housing is priced with that in mind. For people looking to experience the city’s museums, shops and restaurants, but at a lower price point, the West Augustine is an alternative. Located across the San Sebastian River, the neighborhood is a short drive — or walk — from the heart of downtown. The city’s culture even spills into West Augustine’s eastern half, where lively bars and restaurants line the waterfront. “If you are looking for that Saint Augustine feeling, that flavor of art and different architecture, it is that kind of neighborhood,” says Greg McCarthy, a broker associate with Endless Summer Realty. “It’s a great way to get in on the ground floor.”
