While local parks and the hospital are the main draws, Northside-Hester Park is also just north of downtown, offering easy access to shopping, dining and other regional employers. Homes include a mix of styles from the early to mid-20th century. Bungalows and Craftsman houses are among the most common, but there are also plenty of cottages and ranch-style homes along the tree-lined streets.
