Situated at the northeast tip of San Angelo, where U.S. Route 67 branches off in the direction of Dallas, Paulann is a community partly comprised of industry and partly made up of residences. The unoccupied northern portion of Paulann includes warehouses and stockyards for both cattle and cargo trains. “San Angelo was founded as a long-time ranching community,” says Ray McKim, a professional landman who has lived in the city for 40 years.
