Why Live in Southeast San Clemente
Southeast San Clemente rests atop the coastal hills of the city, and its stunning scenery and upscale homes give it a high-end feel. “It’s considered the top of the hill and has the best views,” says Realtor Katrina Crane, who works with Luxre Realty and has over a decade of experience in the area. The neighborhood’s upscale houses and multimillion-dollar mansions offer sunsets over the Pacific Ocean without leaving home, plus proximity to two beaches. A hiking trail snakes through the residential area, with views of mountains to the east. On the north side of the neighborhood, an entrance to the Rancho San Clemente Ridgeline Trail takes hikers on a 6-mile trek to panoramic views of the ocean and the Santa Ana Mountains. “You feel like you’re on the top of the world, with unbelievable, spectacular views. It's indescribable,” Crane says. San Luis Rey Park, located on the community’s south end, has a playground, tennis courts and picnic tables. It’s also dog friendly, making the park a popular spot to walk furry friends. Next door, the San Clemente Municipal Golf Course offers a public 18-hole course with more views of the Pacific.
