Agenoria S. Paschal/Olinda Elementary School gives children an opportunity to learn and grow, offering a traditional curriculum to over 400 Pre-K through fifth-grade students. Through the school’s TALENTS programs, students are exposed to hands-on projects and experiences in a wide range of subjects and experiences, including STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and home economics—lessons that will help carry them through life. The home of the Dolphins, A.S.P./Olinda is a Title 1 school that receives federal funds to support its students, facilitating learning for its diverse student body, and allowing for a lower-than-average student-teacher ratio, so students can have more individual attention. Beyond the classroom, the school’s playground provides a setting where kids can run, play, and have fun. There’s a playground where younger students can climb, slide, and burn off energy. There’s also an open field for sports and classic games. Three basketball courts set the stage for pick-up games, and the courts are lined for other sports, as well. Parents of students at A.S.P./Olinda Elementary School are encouraged to support their children’s learning and the school provides resources to help.
