GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It has provided a wonderful opportunity to graduate high school with a associates degree. I am receiving a degree in arts and science as well as business certificate. This will be financial blessing for me as I will not be receiving support from my family.

My personal experience at Hertford County Early College High School was not good at all. The only thing that was good about the school was being able to get college credits. The teachers were not helpful at all when I needed extra help with classes. I don't feel like I learned everything that I need to know about going to college. I also didn't get to experience taking college tours like the school said they would. If I could change something I would change how things are communicated there because they don't have a good PTSO so we don't get to give feedback about everything that is going on.

Well, so far this school year, it's being really good. I got to meet new people from all the schools at Hertford County, not only public but some private schools as well. I really like that we have more freedom, than the other high schools in this county. and we get to take Honors and/or advanced courses, to help us get better and to help us reach our career.
