Located on Virginia Avenue in Akron's Firestone Park neighborhood, Eagle Elementary provides a no-cost alternative to students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Eagle Elementary offers robust educational programs to more than 160 students throughout Akron as the neighborhood's only public charter elementary school. The school boasts a 91% attendance rate and has a lower-than-average student-teacher ratio. They received an A rating in gap closing for the 2018-2019 school year, which means that at least 90% of its students met the state's key performance expectations. In addition to academics, Eagle students can participate in a range of extracurricular activities, including art, music, athletics, and wellness. As part of the Life Skills Program, students also get the unique experience of interacting with the community through field trips, from grocery store tours to trips to the local library. On top of providing extended school hours and all-day kindergarten, the school also provides transportation to help students get to and from school each day.
