Ellet CLC is one of the newest school facilities to open as part of Akron Public Schools’ aggressive and transformative 20-year plan to rebuild each school in its highly regarded, large urban district.
Located on the historic plot of land originally purchased in 1810 from early Ohio settler Simon Perkins, Ellet CLC is home to just over 960 students in grades 9-12. Boasting a 94.1% graduation rate, students who complete their education at Ellet CLC enter the world with the tools, knowledge and resources to grow and thrive in an ever-changing workforce.
Through Akron Public Schools’ innovative College & Career Academies program, Ellet CLC offers students dozens of diverse learning opportunities through its Freshman Academy, Goodyear Academy of Applied Engineering, City of Akron Academy of Community Health and Safety, as well as the Cuyahoga Valley National Park Academy of Global Marketing and Media.
Students can also participate in additional programs that include the Naval Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps, National Honor Society and Science Club, as well as several sports including, but not limited to: football, soccer, volleyball, baseball, and track and field.

Teachers don't seem to have much control over the student body. There is a great deal of misbehaving and students roaming the halls. However, the administration tries its best to be inclusive and have diversity.

The educate is subpar, the teachers bully the students, and the teachers do nothing about racial and student on student crime.

All the teachers and other staff members are super friendly and helpful. They truly care about all of the students at the school. All of the students are very accepting of everybody.

Proud graduate. Proud that I made it out relatively unscathed, not proud of the school. Students who know their future involves college are eligible to take college campuses at (choose Kent, not Akron) by junior year, possibly even earlier? That aspect of Akron Public schools is valuable.

Hello, I was a former student that moved from Ellet.I would not recommend this school. I was bullied and mentally hurt.The the teachers and staff did not help me with my grades except for one teacher.Mrs.Dingman. Thank you for all that you have done for me and cared when no one else did.

I feel this way because for the past week they have been giving me expired food. I am very angry. Some of the teachers here and rude and disrespectful. This is the worst school I've ever been to.
