Santa Fe is a smaller school in the Alachua County area. They tend to incorporate a decent amount of students from around the county as they are the home to the vet tech magnet program. They also house the biotechnology magnet program.

My first year at Santa Fe High School was a bit rough because I didn't know many people other than my middle school friends, but I had some help from my teachers to get myself out there and make friends. Those teachers ended up being some of my closest friends throughout my high school career.

Of my almost 3 years of being at Santa Fe, I can say that every teacher I've had was a good teacher if I had a question or concern they did what they could to help me out. One this I would change though is bringing back power hour. Power hour was were we would have an hour to ourselves to do makeup work, tests, and anything academic related. It was also your lunch time. It got taken away from us because of behavior and people being considerate to our environment. But when stuff like that happens I believe the people who did it should be punished not everyone. Overall Santa Fe is a pretty ok school.

My son graduated from SFHS in 2023. He was in the Biotechnology program and mostly took AP and Honor courses, so his experience and my impressions are based within that framework. My son was challenged and had some excellent teachers. The Biotech lab is outstanding. Students were friendly and we fel...

I have gone to worse and worse schools highschool's as I got older. Been to six highschools and santa Fe was worst. The education is more simplistic and the best teachers are in classes like drama which don't usually matter much. Pros are that the students are more innocent than other schools and th...

I am currently a Student at SFHS in the veterinary program, and though it is a great school with some of the best teachers I have had in my life. The veterinary assisting Program is definitely not all its cracked up to be. It is truly an extension of the Ag programs and it is truly an Ag class in th...

I graduated from SFHS in 2010. There were good and bad sides to going there. Some of the teachers were rather lackluster and spent too much time focusing on the FCAT (in my 10th grade English class, we barely read any of the classic books the teacher said we would, and instead spent months working o...
