There are multiple opportunities for students to excel in AP or concurrent enrollment classes. I love the clubs on campus and variety of sports.

Alamosa High School has small classrooms, which makes learning easier. There is more time for individual students when questions need answered, and teachers have control other all attendees. A good amount of work is assigned, but all for the benefit of the students.

I'm counting down till graduation. My freshaman year and sophomore year were okay but the longer I'm here the more I see that is wrong with alamosa high school. It is especially hard with the surrounding schools and trying not to make the comparisons. Compared to other high school in the surrounding areas there is no pride. Each year homecoming has gotten worse and worse. A few years ago my cousin told me that the counselors son and nieces won homecoming royalty. Everyone knew it was because she counted the votes. This year the counselors neices were homecoming roylaty. Everyone knows the votes were rigged. The whole week was low key and didnt feel like anything special. The building was just updates but changes were only made for the principles and ad. The changes were not for the students or teachers. This school is going down hill fast.
