I moved to Alexander High school my Junior year. At first I felt out of place because the school is not very diverse this was my least favorite thing because my family and I are biracial. So it was a rocky start but overall everyone was welcoming and the teachers were very understanding about switching curriculum for my siblings and I since we moved from out of state. I played soccer at Alexander which was one of my favorite things about the high school is how involved everyone is in the community and supporting athletics. The parents and staff are always finding ways to fund the school and make it a better environment.

I think my school needs more clubs. We also need to focus on education more. My experiences with staff and students have been memorable. I'm glad I go to my school!

Very community- based. Generally good relations between everyone, but some people are discriminated against.

I recently graduated from Alexander, and the only thing I gained from my experience was trauma. While I had some truly wonderful and dedicated teachers, they are in the minority. Racism is rampant - Alex is not a safe space for anyone with a minority identity. Alexander is a school steeped with deep...

Poor administration. Wanting to send kids to court more than do their jobs

I attended this school in the 80's and now have my children enrolled there. Things have changed so much over the years. Both my children attend college now and are doing very well and I am very thankful they learn quickly. The school seems to be so far behind what other schools are teaching. I reali...

Sexism, discrimination, controlling ways. No freedom in this school. No freedom to express what you believe, no freedom to be who you are, no freedom to learn anything of value to you. People are judged and unjustly treated. It often feels more like a prison or juvenile detention center than a schoo...
