GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Very run of the mill high school. Dual credit availability is extremely limited, but otherwise, it is a good learning enviroment.

Did not prepare me for college at all. I don't even have enough classes taken to get into the college I want. Doesn't even offer enough social science classes to get into this college. Small school means family-like setting, if you're 'popular'. If you don't fit in, you'll never find friends. There's not enough students to be able to even have an outcast group. You either fit in or you don't. There's no being 'unpopular' and still having friends. School has very few clubs and if you're not into sports or music, no one cares about you. The school thinks there's no bullying but it's all online or very heavily covered up or just passive/aggressive behavior. Gossip is horrible and everyone knows you from the day you were born unless you moved into town. If you were a 'weird kid', you will always be a weird kid. I begged my mom to move because I hated this school. It will give you roots, but will not prepare you for anything besides factory or computer work. Also very few sports offered.

Overall ECHS is a pretty good school and I can not imagine going anywhere else. Our dean of students is our biggest problem because he just tries to get innocent people in trouble. We have good teachers that are doing their best and we are all kind of like family. If we could just get better technology and get better food I think our school would be amazing.
