The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have been at Aledo for 11 years and have always been pushed in my academics. I've been in the Aledo band for 6 years, and it has been the best time of my life. They're like my family; we can all grow and push ourselves to improve here.

In my personal experience at Aledo High School as a member of the band program, I see all aspects of school. I see how intense our sports programs are when I attend football games. I see how enthusiastic our admin is about our programs, and even our student bodies culture.

Aledo has been my town for majority of my life. Elementary, Middle, and Highschool have all been great experiences for me simply because the people are so connected through two things: community and tradition. Of course, sports have always been a big thing at Aledo and pep rallies and games are never a dull moment. Because of the connectivity I feel at Aledo, I have also based my top colleges on the same factors. I am forever grateful that I got to spend my school years at Aledo, but I also wish Aledo had more excitement and dedication to other sports like soccer or tennis. Aledo is known for football and I don't blame our town for getting so ecstatic about it, but I also wish some other sports got the same recognition t further build the community aspect of Aledo High School.

have been in Aledo for about 7 years and have been bullied for the entire time I have lived here, everything that you report to the counselors/staff will be swept under the rug. For most of the time I have been in Aledo isd the teachers just seem to push you through their class so you can just pass,...

Decent academics and college readiness programs, but absolutely atrocious community if you aren't a part of the "in crowd". Although it is common for high schoolers to be somewhat catty and vindictive, the school district does nothing to curb this behavior. Those who report bad behavior are treated...

This school is full of toxicity and bullying. I've personally been called slurs, had my things stolen, sprayed with cleaning products, and all of this went ignored. I went to teachers, I went to councilors, and all that happened was a slap on the wrist. As for academics, compared to texas public sch...

The bullying in this school district is so bad. My daughter repeatedly reported bullying to her teachers, the school counselor, and other staff. They did nothing to stop the bullying until I made an official report. They did the bare minimum after that and did not expel anyone who participated even...
