GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My high school has many learning experiences with great teachers. All of our sport teams and clubs excel. Often our teams will make it to state. Our clubs will be very competitive in their field. Teachers at our school work hard to try to make students feel welcome, have fun, and learn required material.

The school building is pretty good. The teachers are mixed, some are good and some are bad. The students are mixed too most are good but others are really bad.

Aledo High School is run by an administrative staff that is scared of parents and often bends to their every whim. This has resulted in many of the good teachers leaving but there are still about a dozen teachers that are absolutely extraordinary. When it comes to academics are district is highly ranked but this could be related to the wealth. The school places a heavy emphasis on sports and successful programs but if the program is not excelling it's often left out to dry. The culture can be described as win at all costs. There is also a good amount of racism that goes around the school due to the very little diversity with most students being wealthy and white.

have been in Aledo for about 7 years and have been bullied for the entire time I have lived here, everything that you report to the counselors/staff will be swept under the rug. For most of the time I have been in Aledo isd the teachers just seem to push you through their class so you can just pass,...

Decent academics and college readiness programs, but absolutely atrocious community if you aren't a part of the "in crowd". Although it is common for high schoolers to be somewhat catty and vindictive, the school district does nothing to curb this behavior. Those who report bad behavior are treated...

This school is full of toxicity and bullying. I've personally been called slurs, had my things stolen, sprayed with cleaning products, and all of this went ignored. I went to teachers, I went to councilors, and all that happened was a slap on the wrist. As for academics, compared to texas public sch...

The bullying in this school district is so bad. My daughter repeatedly reported bullying to her teachers, the school counselor, and other staff. They did nothing to stop the bullying until I made an official report. They did the bare minimum after that and did not expel anyone who participated even...
