My son has attended Commonwealth Academy since 6th grade. He's grown from a child who hated school to one who loves school. The school has helped him to become a confident student that is able to socialize with other kids. In the past it was hard for him to make friends. The faculty has taken the time to get to know my sons interests and created an Anime Club to increase his social skills. The staff has created a safe environment for child to learn at his own pace and discover how he learns best. The school supports parents with raising their children to be self-advocates. The school offers students different types of diplomas and certificates when they graduate. I appreciate the way the school lets me know what is going on school so I can talk to my son about what he's learning in school.

Our bright adhd learner has come alive and fully understands her worth and abilities. Commonwealth guides her discovery on how she learns and teaches her how to take control of her learning... building her confidence in her true potential, breaking free of the label she had been given of being a bright lazy student.

Commonwealth is a really inclusive small community feel. The teachers are always available for help and extra clarification when you need it. Over the years Commonwealth has expanded its sports program. Its really nice because even though you might not be great at a sport, you get a chance to try it out and improve your skills.

My child's experience was terrible. The teachers were nice but they did not teach kids with dyslexia as the advertised. This school wasted years of education and money.

We enrolled our son at Commonwealth Academy (CA) mid-year, when our local school was having issues meeting his needs. He has a learning profile of ADHD, language processing difficulties, and executive function (EF) difficulties. We were very excited about CA’s stated focus on executive function, and...

This school does not prepare you for college. They lock your phone away for the entire school day, they have cameras everywhere, some of the teachers act like they just want to go home, they don't honor accommodations, and the overall school is subpar. As a former student, I would look for a differe...
