Serving students from prekindergarten through sixth grade, Engleside Christian School (Engleside) provides age-appropriate academic instruction within a Bible-based curriculum. At Engleside, teachers not only work with students on academics, they also mentor them beyond the classroom. Engleside’s primary goal is to promote students’ spiritual and moral growth, intellectual and academic progress, and physical and social development. The school also seeks to provide students with an exceptional education grounded in a Biblical worldview that prepares them academically for high school and college.
Because Engleside Baptist Church underwrites Engleside Christian School’s operating costs, the school can offer affordable tuition. Additionally, to keep costs down, Engleside can combine grade levels while maintaining a 15-to-1 student-teacher ratio and high academic standards.
Known as the Engleside Christian School Lions, the uniform dress code echoes the school’s blue and gold colors. Students in prekindergarten participate in hands-on activities that develop fine motor skills and social growth. Students in first through sixth grade are taught with the Abeka curriculum and participate in the Chapel Program, field trips, fine arts, community service, physical education, and the Old Dominion Association of Church Schools’ Bible, Fine Arts, & Academic competition. Before and after school care is also available.
