GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The best part of my high school experience has been my involvement in the swim programs. The varsity girls swim and dive team is well ran and creates great memories for students. The worst part of my high school experience was the lack of information of college and help given to students on the path to college.

My high school career was very good until this year when we got a new principle. I loved my old principle she was very sweet and always had a smile on her face. The new principle has made so many rules and she isn't very nice to students. I would like to have bosco sticks everyday instead of only two days a week.

My time at Allegan High School has been good for the majority, I moved here in Middle school and felt welcomed and had help if i needed it wherever I looked. One thing that I was a little taken back by was the un-interest in athletics as I got into High school there is a handful of student athletes in Allegan granted it is a smaller school overall still was interesting to see how many students didn't wanna partake in athletics.

Being a student at this school seems nearly impossible, either you're good and they expect more or you're not good enough and they give up. In the past year I have watched multiple peers of mine be given up on by Allegan high as a whole. The expectations at this school are irrational and they all se...

Counselors are super helpful and so are some of the teachers. Other teachers are awful, kids are failing left and right. The school has yet to figure this out or remedy the situation. One of the English teachers has such complicated instructions that even the parents can't understand what it is she...
