GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The environment at Almont High School was very good for all four years that I attended. They also did a very good job at helping me prepare for my future and reach my goals. However, I wish they did focus heavily on the important things more than things that don't matter.

Almont is a pretty decent school district, considering the fact that it is just a small rural public school, it does a pretty good job at catering to the needs of individual students through programs such as Ed-tech and Dual Enrollment, as well as offering a handful of AP courses. For the most part, the teachers are great, very kind and helpful, and their goal is definitely to prep students for college and SAT/ACTs.

I like that Almont has a friendly community feel. There are only 100 to 150 students in each grade, so you become familiar with almost everyone. I wish they would fix the parking lot though.

Unlike the previous poster I believe Almont schools, is one of the best in the area. If the previous poster had done some research they would have seen steps have been taken to increase enrollment and Almont has continued to see improved test scores. My kids have been blessed to have such a great sc...

Terrible school system! I have never seen such Union oriented and selfish teachers. When the community or supervisors ask something of a teacher, it's always "not in my contract". Teachers are rude to parents and do post progress reports like they should. Teachers are always "out sick". Teachers nev...
