Almont High School needs major updates in the entire building. Administration and board of education did not value some key people at the school so they went elsewhere. The district has declined in the past few years. Students need more time for elective courses.

Almont High School has great staff who truly care about their students. Almost every single staff member will say hi and ask how you are doing. Teachers are always willing to provide all the help they can give you. There are many mental health resources available as well.

I would say that the school has a number of things to change, but it would be great to see initiative to make classes solely for life after school or at least put more focus on it. For example, classes involving proper cooking skills, finances, budgeting, & interview practice would help facilitate transitioning into adulthood.

My kids have been blessed to have such a great sc...

Terrible school system! I have never seen such Union oriented and selfish teachers. When the community or supervisors ask something of a teacher, it's always "not in my contract". Teachers are rude to parents and do post progress reports like they should. Teachers are always "out sick". Teachers nev...
