GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My high school experience was easy once I got the hang of it and I saw my friends I made since kindergarten. The progress I make in High school, such as grades and attendance, reflected on my readiness for college. I like the location of this school. I can say one thing I would change about the school is the new high school building. On the positive side, I went to the old school just like my mom.

Alpine high school was really nice. I never had any problems or issues with anyone there. If I ever needed something the teachers were there to help.

It sucks here. The environment here compared to the rest of the town is very suffocating. The school needs to be fixed or just made sure it's not such a hazard. The school promises to fix some of the safety issues but then put in something else that is nothing like they were promising to do to make us feel safer. The shooting caused a lot of problem's but remember there was no bullying that caused it cause this school is perfect.

Only 3 AP classes offered. The new counselor didn't even know how to submit transcripts to colleges and didn't care to find out, because they assume everyone will go to Sul Ross. Sports and Band are the main focus of the school.

Top-notch school! It's very true that it's small enough that kids don't get lost in the shuffle, but it's also true that it stands apart for its very caring faculty who really try to bring the best out in every child.
