GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Just your average high school. There's several challenging ap courses and overall environment is decent.

I personally liked how we always cooperate in clubs and spirt week. Almost everyone is social here, so if you're a new student you would easily make friends. I would change the way our sports are maintained. They aren't as competitive as we should be. I would also change the way our teachers teach. In that way of trying to teach more of the criteria. Also, that the parents aren't as involved as a high school should have support from them.

Our experience was not good. The communication about events, tests and any issues is essentially non existent. We did not feel welcome as a family and our child certainly did not feel welcomed by the other students.

Of the three non-elementary schools, AHS impresses me the most. The main building is all new and is really nice. There are still a few older buildings (Ag, Music, Cafeteria) that need to be updated. Most teachers are okay, but not many that really standout and only a few that shouldn't be teaching....

This school does not prepare kids for college at all. A majority of the teachers here do not want to be there, granted there were some good ones that actually tried to push me academically. I was a Air Force transplant from Texas, the administration initially wanted to put me back a grade (I believe...
