I have had a positive experience at Alva High School. Most of the teachers are nice and do their jobs very well. However many of the facilities are worn down and in desperate need of remodeling. The school offers plenty of sports and excels in some of them. The arts programs are very impressive being well decorated winning many state titles.

The teachers were okay but it wasn't the best place to learn. Some teachers don't teach enough or over teach. Some assign to much work without any explination.

I loved that extra curricular's were emphasized and lots of opportunities were given if asked. I didn't like that most of the teachers were giving half-hearted effort in ensuring that we not only passed the classes, but understood the material present. You can only have so many coaches as teachers before they end up just giving you a handout everyday.
