Overall, AHS is a decent school. Anahuac is a small town, but has been growing a little over the past few years. Some of the teachers and classes are hit and miss - one year I have pretty decent teachers, then the next I don't feel like I learn enough. I have heard from students who have transferred from other schools nearby that Anahuac is better than their previous school.

Anahuac High School offers a tight nit community of teachers and peers. Although since the school is so small, our resources are often limited. Our school culture has seen a drastic decline in participation and spirit, but is starting to improve due to recent changes. Overall my experience at Anahuac High School has been positive. However, there is a vast amount of room for improvement.

Anahuac High School was a school where everyone knows everyone. This can be such a positive thing because when situations like bullying take place, the students stand up for each other because everyone is like family.

This school's band program is very enjoyable. There are a few problems though. There is no swim team even though there is a pool??? The food is not nutritous or delicious. This school is terrible. I have more than one child in this school and we have found that they are struggling greatly with the basics.
