The best experiences we have had are the dual enrollment classes to take as part of their high school curriculum. The classes are taught either in person at the Community College or Online. It's a really great way to get experience taking College classes as well as getting some of the core classes completed and out of the way. I would say the worse experiences we've had would be trying to set times to meet with the guidance counselor. The school has only one counselor for the entire high school.

I've quite enjoyed my time at Straughn High. I think that of all the school's I could have attended in the area, I'm glad I ended up landing here. It feels like home. The people and community are very welcoming and bring joy to others. Of all the bad things, I'd probably say some of the less welcoming people. I wish there wasn't as much discrimination among some.
