GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have not attended Andrews High School for very long but I can most certainly say that it prepares you for college and or the work force. There are so many opportunities to succeed through school wether that is graduating with your LVN or with you associates degree. I have not had many problems with the school besides the lunch periods, we are able to earn a longer lunch on Fridays but no matter how hard the kids work to get this privlage we always seem to lose it for a small problem. I would like to see more in-person and online offered dual enrollment classes so students can pick what classes they are going to be in.

The best part about our school is the facilities and the opportunities that are given to each student. We have just received the privilege to add to our school. As well as having amazing sports and extra-curricular activities. The administration is okay, not the best people you have ever met, but they get the job done.

I enjoyed this school from when I was a student here years ago and after moving back to Andrews a couple of years ago and raising my grandchild (whose friends are sweethearts whenever they visit our home.) During their visits, I heard the friends my grandchild has about the teachers who do not know...

I am totally surprised at some of these evaluations, but things do change over time. I taught at Andrews High 1968-1973 and Andrews was a very good school with very good teachers Our weak point was our principal, he liked to smoke with the those kids in the smoker alley. Our teaching staff was very...

Most of the teachers are wonderful, caring people who truly care and go out of their way for the students. They try hard to instill great values in their students regardless of their background, and are effective leaders. The level of preparation for college could be improved a bit.

At this school, it's hard to be different. Most people at this school are Caucasian, athletic, and Christian. Students of a different sexual orientation, other than heterosexual, have a hard time fitting in at this school.
