The school has a overall poor reputation and poor standards for students. Leaving them not prepared for classes and not properly taught how to survive in the real world. Many of the teachers are unprofessional or poor at teaching their specific subjects. It would be nice to see better care for the students. Teaching them about real world finances and how to do things like taxes, resumes, ect.

i've recently completed my freshman year here and let me just say this place is sucking the soul out of me. its literally ran like a prison there are very little actually entertaining events besides homecoming and prom and i was told this is the first homecoming we've had in years. you're locked up in a building all day with no free time besides lunch and you can't go outside unless it's to run the mile for p.e or walking to the huts for class. very rarely if you're a senior you're allowed to eat lunch outside but thats treated like a gift from god even though at schools much worse than ours eating outside is a normal thing everyone does. theres lots of other little things like how some of the teachers act like they want you to fail by not putting your grades in and losing your work, they *removed* sanitary trash cans in the girls bathrooms which were previously there, etc. its honestly weird hearing how much my friends like their schools when i cry every morning i have to go to mine.

Harnett central high school was a great experience for me mostly because of my friends. However I would say that it's not the most judge free school and that the administration isn't the best.

I am pleased with the school's administration and faculty and felt my children received a solid high school education at Harnett Central High School. I would recommend this school to my friends.

I am currently a junior at HCHS and I am disappointed in this school. While it goes without saying that we are in the countryside and that we are already in an area of low expectations, the experiences at the school on a day to day basis are shocking. The students as a whole do not care about their...
