GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The academics offered are only basic level, and dual credit. Though the reason i rate it an 'A-' is because the scheduling is excellent. I skipped my sophomore grade, and Anton supported me and worked around my needed classes. The only special classes offered are dual credit classes and G.T classes.

The food is healthy food. . .which makes the food pretty untasty. The servings are pretty substantial. Anton does accommodate special dietary needs and the menu variety is pretty minute; they basically serve the same thing bi-weekly.

You'll find peer pressure in about any school, but the school culture and diversity is not really an issue. This small school is very close. You don't really see the different types of social groups as you would do in a bigger school. Yes we all have those certain "Bad Kids" but the school has always been there to force them to get it together.

School has changed alot over the years. The principal that they appointed for this school is very strick and aggressive. My child is on the A&B honor roll and she gets picked on for her wanting to be herself. No child should be picked on. Treat them like you would want your own child to be treated....

As someone who has attended Anton High School and Anton Elementary for eight years, this is one of the best schools i have known. The small classes provide great student/teacher one-on-one and school administrators are invested in all school aspects. The community is extremely devoted, and every stu...

The Principal here is what really ruined the school. Just like the person above me stated, he routinely picks on many of the students. My son has recorded him threatening both my son and his girlfriend. Any time a parent calls to resolve the issue or ask about his behaviors he either puts on a show...
