The best part of Aptos High School is that the school administration helps students get into leadership positions to be able to do activism and have it in their college resume. The worst part of Aptos High School is the amount of homework that students get (some of the regular classes can even give as much homework as the honors and AP courses). I would like to see a change in individualizing student goals.

Beautiful campus location. A lot of opportunities to participate in school activities: art, music, sports, club, community involvement through volunteering. Facilities need updating (not the school's fault). Need more funding from the State. Counselors are helpful. Student does best if self-driven.

The teachers are really friendly but the school is underfunded and understaffed. Staff makes their best effort to support students but there is just a lack of resources.

Academics is mediocre. The girl’s volleyball program would be better if they had a coach with more experience, a personality and compassion for his players. Hunter Zeng lacks interpersonal and intrapersonal skills to run a successful program. He wants the attention to be on him and not his players....

My son has had a positive experience here. Although I hear reports of bullying, this has luckily not happened to him. He is a serious student who is in mostly honors/AP classes and no sports. When he was identified with learning challenges, the staff and his teachers were generally very responsive t...

Horrible. The school compared to many others is a catastrophe. The only thing that keeps me coming back is football and sometimes that's not enough.
