I moved to Arcata my sophomore year and was shocked by how friendly everyone was. I felt extremely welcomed and was able to settle in very quickly. The academics are quite good here offering plenty of AP classes and offering tons of different electives. The art institute is quite special and offers great experiences for all sorts of artists.

The best part of Arcata High School was the variety of classes available. Examples include three levels of Culinary Arts, five different Agriculture classes, two levels Makers, and AP Computer Programming. I would like to see the parking lot sorted out so it is less dangerous to leave after school.

It has been a positive experience but I feel little confidence moving forward into applying for college. I have had three principles already this school is crazy.
