GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It's a pretty good school, came into this district freshman year and it was a wonderful experience. I do recommend this school.

Since moving to the Valley View School District I have made many friends and had great experiences and connections with my teachers. One thing I would like to see changed is the set up of the courses. They are set up in two semesters and I would have personally liked to have some of my courses like Anatomy year around.

For me this high school has been very helpful. Not just academically but very supportive of my mental health. The teachers pay close attention to all students and notice when they are having a bad day or a bad week. They take time out of their busy day to talk with a student one on one and figure out what is bothering them. The school also have great guidance counselors who care about the students well being and give them recommendations on how to get better or cope with tough things in their lives.

Valley View does not provide the academic quality education to prepare for college. My four children made so many good friends at this school but none were prepared to even complete Community College course work. The teachers low salary may be the reason for their lack of interest & motivation for t...

This school hasn't changed since the 70's. It is a very political school. I personally seen teachers who have previous teaching experience and had to fight tooth and nail to get a teaching job at this school, than there are some who are very young with no prior experience who get a position within t...

This school not only breeds poor sportsmanship, they encourage it. The staff and administration are politically driven, and they ignore the rules for the right people. A subpar education with poor attitudes and morals.
