I have been a part of the Marsh Valley School District since the first grade, and as I reminisce about my time I realize more and more the quality teachers that I've had. I can count on one hand the amount of teachers that I have had issues with, and all of them are before high school. Some teachers' teaching styles didn't line up with my learning styles, but overall the teachers have all been very engaging, caring, and kind to me. When I ask questions about college all of them are eager to give me tips and to help me find resources to find the solutions to my problems.

I love the engaging culture and school spirit at Marsh Valley High School. All of the students have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities. There aren't as many opportunities as far as academics compared to other higher division schools, but they have access to online courses which can help students advance in their learning.

The few things I did enjoy at Marsh Valley were mainly because of my English teacher Ms. Bearnson. She is the person to talk to if there are any conflicts in academics or otherwise. However, the same can not be said for the other teachers. A lot of the teachers here do not care overall, or hold the students to the same high academic standard as Ms. B. Also, with this being a small community, majority LDS, there is little room for diversity of religion. They even have a seminary building on campus.
If you have a child who needs an IEP or a 504 plan, if your child is coming into the district with these plans already in place RUN!!! Don’t expect to receive a free public education or even be serviced. They don’t even know how to properly test your child. Idaho’s department of education is aware a...
Staff is very lazy, and doesn’t care for the students. People are only hired if they have the right last name. Some staff is not punished for not following the rules. No one actually cares for the education of the student they mainly only care about their paycheck and what little they have to do to...
There are NO TEACHERS, ONLY Coaches. If you're child is not in a sport or a long time resident, You're considered an outsider; therefore the push children to their breaking point.
I have four children that have graduated from Marsh Valley High School. They have great programs and wonderful teachers. We plan on staying in this valley until all of our children have completed their education.
