GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have attended Ariton School from k-12. I considered the school to be a great environment for younger kids attending from k-6. However once i hit middle school and high school my experience declined in satisfaction. The overall material taught is okay, but the teachers are extremely bias.

I really like the academics and the teachers. The only problems I see with the school is they really push athletics and it seems athletics are more important than academics.

In Ariton I like how everyone knows each other. Ariton is such a small town that we are all our neighbors. If I could change anything about Ariton High it would be by letting everyone getting more along with each other. Many kids get judge by what they wear and drive. I wish the people would be a little more mature. Other than that it is a perfect school, small but with a big heart. Another thing I would change is our diversity. Here at Ariton there is barely any diversity. Everyone is one race and only a few who are not the same. Everyone here has the same political view and if yours is different you may get judged. If there was more diversity the school would be so much better and filled with more love.

I have one child in 8th and one in 6th at Ariton. I absolutely love this small school. The teachers work so hard for our students they truly love what they do. Our administration staff is very organized and so professional providing an excellent environment for our school. We are so blessed to have...
