Lamar High School has a wonderful Principal (Lesley Maroney) and one of the top teachers in the district (Coach Stephens). Safety is still a concern.

Throughout the years, studying at Lamar High school has been good overall. There are plenty of courses available for a well-rounded learning experience by the time we graduate.

Overall, Lamar has been a good school. We have less fights now, but we also have upset teachers or no teachers at all. I wouldn't say the academics are strong, but I have been able to enroll in an early college program which strengthens the academics. Our sports AND music programs are what hold the school together.
