GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Former employee; this school is ok. Administration allows teachers to do their job, but can and will become vindictive. The students are ok, some are nice but the majority are either entitled, apathetic toward their academics, or helpless. The parents are fine, some are entitled but most are uninvolved or absent. The teachers are mixed, some are competent some I am not sure how they get dressed in the morning. Academics have some rigor. It's an ok school.

Being at Ashland high school had its ups and downs but mostly positive things. They were honored with the "best high schools' award by the US news and world report. They had a variety of programs although I wish they could have expanded on the engineering field. One thing that I wish they could change is to have more approachable teachers.

Really great school with high standards and strong special ed services. The teachers really go above and beyond for there students and the schools come up with creative ways to build a tight knit community that supports its students.

Great administration and teachers. My daughters didn't want us to move (ok friends were part of the reason). They're doing great in good colleges and telling us how they hadn't realized how well AHS teachers had prepared them for math, chemistry, and history -- they're having a way easier time than...

I loved my time at AHS! The teachers were very dedicated and often went above and beyond to help and support their students. I also feel like the coursework really prepared me for college. It was challenging in the best way possible, and oftentimes college classes are easier for me because the teach...
