I would say the best parts about this school is that in my personal experience with the teachers they have been helpful when they need to be but when it comes to the worst part it would have to be the problem with drug use among the students. I think this school could really benefit with trying to decrease the amount of students using vapes, drugs, alcohol, etc.

I think that Ashland Highschool's number one best quality is the teachers. Even if they've been short on teachers the past few years and had long-term subs for some classes they've had some of the best teachers I can remember. I've had the tough teachers that kids always hated when they had them but loved them when they graduated. I've had teachers that can spend all of class telling their students about their out of school lives and stupid stories and the students are always so open and enjoy going to school just because of those teachers. Even the staff that aren't teachers make kids want to go to school even if the kid only goes from showing up to school one day a week to two days a week. Ashland Highschool does have it's lows like how the principle has this huge vendetta against cellphones and will take them till the end of the day even in emergency. I know that if the kid genuinely like the class even if their on their cellphone the whole time they will put the work in.

Ashland High was a typical small city High school. There was a lot of focus on rules and keeping kids in school due to the amount kids skipping school. Instead of making school a place the kids wanted to be they just tried to make it harder to get out. Which in turn only made kids more clever at skipping class. Ashland High has the biggest freshwater lake in the world next to it and yet has no class that studies it or takes advantage of it. The school spent money unwisly
