GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Have heard varying experiences, but overall seems like a good high school. Good location and caring teachers.

The overall culture is very good. There are lots of opportunities for almost any academic passion. The arts an music programs are fairly well funded, though this could be improved upon. The food is good but very expensive (6.50$ for lunch) which makes it inaccessible to some students.

This school is awful because the teachers don't support students and take over a month to grade things, Half of the teachers are really nice and the other half treat students like garbage. Their is NO diversity.

I have nothing but the best thing to say. If you want to be involved as a parent you can be. Don’t put everything on one teacher as one of the reviews wrote. I have plenty of one on one time. My kids love it!

Aspen High School has been rated as one of the best 15 high schools in the state of Colorado. It has an excellent IB program which is extraordinary for a school of its size (500). The Ex. Ed. program is unique in the country. The support of the Aspen Education Foundation is key to the success of all...

Does anyone remember the old PTA, parent-teacher associations. I think they met every other week or maybe once a month. But that allowed for more contact with teachers than 10 minutes per teacher per semester. With a few exceptions, the teachers are more interested in their extracurricular activitie...
